Cast from tree bark in silver.
This unique design is cast in gold or silver from pieces of tree bark. Some of the bark pieces were found at the base of a centuries-old Ponderosa pine on the banks of the Middle Fork of the Salmon River in Idaho; some were discovered in Colorado.
Many of my bark pieces are evocative of familiar images such as birds, calligraphy and clouds. Others are totally abstract.
These pieces are molded originally from actual pieces of tree bark that have been gathered from the ground and molded in rubber. The mold is filled with wax and then cast using the lost wax process. They are solid sterling silver.
